Cheeseburger turnovers

One loaf of Frozen bread dough

One pound Ground beef

One onion diced

Salt and pepper to taste

6 Slices of American cheese slices
Or the equivalent of your favorite cheese


 


     Thaw froze loaf and follow direction for preparation for baking.
     Brown ground beef with onions and season to taste. Drain excess grease from the mixture. Set a side till cool enough to handle.
      Put wax paper down and lightly flour the surface to keep dough from sticking. Divide dough into six equal sized balls.
       Spread out each ball like it is going to be a small pizza. On top the dough place your cheese then a hand full of hamburger mixture. Pull the sides up around it and pinching the dough shut.
       Flip over so the pinched-side is down on the sheet and set on a lightly greased backing sheet.
       Do this with each ball then place in over for about 20 minutes at about 350 degrees.
       Remove from oven and lightly coat with butter or margarine to make the crust soft. Let cool slightly before eating because filling will be very hot.
